I didn’t know that SEO traffic is that important when it comes to generating income from your website. I thought that I should just write random contents and the site visitors will follow. So how did you able to know this stuff about SEO? Did you go to any school or training?

A few years ago, when I first started out building up my own sites, I went straight for the email marketing route as I thought it was the quickest way to draw in traffic. The main probelm I found was the quality of the traffic – and that’s what SEO traffic tends to bring you! Over the last two years I’ve realized that the ONLY quality, targetted traffic is the organic kind. Great article – I hope this helps a few newbies out!

    Hi Stephen,

SEO is a term people tend to avoid. It is however necessary to become accustomed with if you want your site to be successful.
I’m glad to see you give a decent overview of what it really is. It is however not that easy to just find the right keywords and get a high ranking on google. I guess there’s some sort of a process for it?

Thank you for your very comprehensive explanation of SEO traffic. I have noted that it is very important to get recognized by the major search engines such as google, yahoo and bing.

Trust is the first component in getting these search engines to rank your site highly. Is this correct?
