If you’re looking for the best proven work from home jobs, there really is only one place to look. And that’s on your laptop. (Or desktop) – But I think you know what I’m getting at. Don’t freak out! Does having to have your own website freak you out? Think you can’t handle building a website? Think again. You can. I promise you can. I did it and I’m not special. Trust me. I mean, my mother will gloat about me all day, but she’s my mother. She thinks, me programing a VCR is still impressive. It’s hard for me to say this, but…. even my mother could build a website. She just wouldn’t try. But you’re different. You’re not my mother. You’ve got moxie, kid 🙂

Which means this is something you’re going to want to work at. Put some time into. And I can say from experience, once you get started building your website, it become addictive. To create an online business, you start with a website. And websites can be built easily AND free. Once you have a website, you’ll need to get some traffic. Traffic to your site is what is going to make sales. While we’re on the subject of traffic, I’d like to point you to the most amazing keyword tool I’ve ever used. Jaaxy. I’ll be reviewing Jaaxy in a later post, but I suggest you go take a look at that, if you have interest in keyword searching.
There are many ways to monetize your website. And that will be the final step. What will you use to make money with your site? Do you have your own product? If not, are you willing to make your own product? Would you create an ebook? Do you have a skill you could share with people?
If you don’t have your own product to sell, thats OK too. You can be an affiliate marketer. In simple terms, you can sell other peoples “stuff.” As an example, you can be an affiliate for Amazon.com. If you put a link on your site that leads to Amazon, and someone clicks that link and purchases something, you’ll get a commission! It’s really pretty simple. And it take no work on your part. No need to sell, no need to accept credit cards, no need to store or ship items. Amazon takes care of all the work, and you get paid!
I chose an online business because I knew, without a doubt, if I put the time and effort into it, my life would change in a year. That’s the power of the internet. Anyone can do it. And I mean anyone.
Today I have multiple websites. And they’re always a work in progress. That’s the beauty of an online business and website. You’re always discovering different ways to make money, just by adjusting your site, or adding a link.

I enjoyed your recommendation for Wealthy Affiliate even though I’m already a member. 🙂 I would recommend adding some income verification proof and perhaps some information about how long you’ve been working-at-home and your current success level. Just a thought. I would also add some Google AdSense of Amazon Affiliate ads in addition to your WA ads.

I think the online affiliate business can be considered as one of the best jobs in the world, not just for home but when you away from home.
From my observation a lot of people wishing to take on the online affiliate business is for the freedom from being tied to indoors when the sun is shining beautifully when the beaches are calling you when the cities and mountains all over the world are waiting for your to explore. Yet, like what you said all you need to facilitate this lifestyle is a laptop.
I look forward for the day when smartphones are made with special materials that can be unfolded into a size of laptop (with keyboard) and will be as powerful as best PC in the world so we can carry our entire office wherever we go. 🙂

Excellent questions Chris, and I’ll be sure to edit my content to address those questions. There is no cost to be an affiliate and there are literally thousands of affiliate programs you can join. From big name like Walmart, Home Depot, etc, to much smaller individual owned companies. Like I said, I’ll edit this and add some more detail.
